(home remodel)
These folks came to Mosaik in desperate need for a whole house design/build project.
Their home was a dark, dated 1960s ranch, replete with "vintage" touches like paneling and mustard-colored drapery. A crowded layout splintered the house too much for the energy of their two growing boys. And the cramped kitchen was just no fun to cook in.
Our team created an open design, paying homage to this "cooking shrine" of a kitchen, borrowing some space from the garage to create a bigger space with a HUGE pantry.
The plan made the most of the natural light and views of the wooded backyard, and kept everything in clean, simple lines...and in the client's budget.
The client was so happy with the results, that they've created their own blog with all the gory design/build details!
